Konqi Tonky dragon

I just read the terrible news about the merch! And keep asking myself. How the h##ck is that possible????? I really hope they can track the stuff, because I wanted to stock loats of things...

Speaking of Konqi, I had some great ideas to do with Konqi. But since I don't really know if it's an educational issue or a game issue. But for those who are interested and are able to code, I would LOVE to how my ideas would turn out ;-)

Here's one
A KDE-tutorial for kids: You start up KDE-tutorial and a real-life Konqi pops on the screen and starts to introduce itself and... KDE. Konqi shows you around in KDE and shows the apps, how they work...

Second
Konqi-pet: kind of a game to learn children how to nurse pets. Konqi starts as an egg, and you will have to make sure the egg is comfy, warm, safe. After a little while baby Konqi would be born out of the egg. And than you will have to take care of it like a pet. Feed it, play with it, learn discipline....

It would be ever cooler if you could integrate this into other programs. I don't know how. But that's where we have the creative developpers for, don't we?

Well folks, that's it for today. CY

I agree that Konqi would be good to keep... for children.

Jus an opinion, but I don't believe that a smiling dragon belongs in a default desktop, in the same way that I don't need a talking paperclip, an animated search-dog, or a Bonzi-buddy to help me with my internet surfing.

KDE already has the gears (even the word gearhead is starting to be recognized), please don't dumb down the desktop by making it childish. Keep such extras in childrens games.

...so you mean like a tamagotchi?

Konquigotchi! Wonderful idea! It would serve to educate the fellow user/developer too, remembering him/her to:

1) Eat;
2) Drink;
3) Go to bathroom;
4) Change his/her underpants;
5) Sleep.
